How to choose the right range

After uploading, the tool shows the total number of pages in your PDF. Enter the first page you want to keep in "From page" and the last page in "To page" — for example, entering 3 and 7 extracts pages 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 as a new five-page PDF, leaving the rest of the original document behind.

Pulling out a single relevant chapter from a long e-book or manual to send to someone who only needs that section. Extracting just the signature page from a lengthy contract to confirm it was signed correctly. Can I extract multiple separate, non-consecutive ranges at once? Currently the tool extracts one continuous range per download — for non-consecutive pages, run the tool again with each range and merge the results afterward using the PDF Merger tool if needed.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server? No — the entire extraction process happens locally in your browser using a client-side JavaScript library; your file is never transmitted anywhere.

Will this work on a password-protected PDF? No — password-protected or encrypted PDFs need to be unlocked first using a PDF reader before this or most browser-based PDF tools can process them.
